Tom Stout

Tom Stout MA VetMB PhD MRCVS DipECAR KNMvD 

Tom Stout qualified from Cambridge University's Veterinary School. He performed his PhD at the Equine Fertility Unit in Newmarket. In 1999, he moved to Utrecht University where, in 2007, he was appointed Chair of Equine Reproduction. Dr Stout is an ECAR Diplomat, a Royal Dutch Veterinary Association specialist in Equine Reproduction and a deputy editor of the Equine Veterinary Journal. In Utrecht, he ran a busy clinic with an emphasis on assisted reproduction. In 2024, he relocated to the Gluck Equine Research Center in Kentucky. His research focuses on fertilization, early (pre-implantation) embryonic development and pregnancy loss in mares.
