Jo de Klerk BVetMed(hons) MScTAH PgCert MRCVS
Jo de Klerk is a Research Fellow at Lancaster University, where she is currently collaborating with the UKHSA to develop risk maps for West Nile Virus in the UK. Her PhD research focused on modelling the control of veterinary vector-borne diseases, such as African horse sickness and bluetongue, through using a One Health approach. Prior to academia, her career has spanned almost a decade in clinical veterinary practice, having worked as a mixed-species veterinarian in both the UK and South Africa, which has shaped her clinical interest in global epidemiology, One Health, and veterinary public health.
