Jane Hodgkinson

Jane Hodgkinson BSc PhD 

Jane Hodgkinson is based within the Veterinary Parasitology Group, Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences, University of Liverpool. Her research on equine parasites spans >20 years and every year she inspires students on the Liverpool vet degree about sustainable parasite control. She is an AMTRA registered SQP with experience in equine parasite diagnostics and recently worked to deliver the BEVA primary care parasite control guidelines. She was part of the team delivering the BEVA Protectmetoo toolkit to promote best practice parasite control in all ages of horses and works with a number of equine stakeholders, including the pan-industry CANTER initiative. As a long-term horse owner she is passionate about delivering practical advice to the horse owning community and the wider equine sector.
