Francesca De Oliveira

Francesca (Chez) de Oliveira DVM MANZCVS MRCVS 

Chez graduated from the St George’s University in 2011 and completed an equine internship at a busy equine hospital followed by some years in first opinion ambulatory equine practice, during which time she completed a certificate in equine medicine. Chez then went on to complete an ophthalmology residency, with a strong bias towards equine ophthalmology. Chez is cofounder of Equivision Vets (formerly Optivet Equine) which is a purely equine ophthalmology referral practice. Chez has a particular interest in corneal disease both infectious and immune mediated and corneal surgery. With a large and varied caseload, she is passionate about continuing to find advancements in equine clinical ophthalmology, with a focus on using small animal and human ophthalmology techniques in equine patients. As well as enjoying clinical work Chez is on the board of the Equine International Ophthalmology Consortium and several equine ophthalmology research working groups.
