Florian Geburek
Prof. Dr. habil. Florian Geburek DiplECVSMR
Florian Geburek is full professor of equine surgery at the University of Veterinary Medicine (TiHo) Hannover, Foundation in Germany and Head of the Department of Surgery and Orthopaedics of the Clinic for Horses. His main areas of interest are lameness, orthopaedic- and minimally invasive surgery and his fields of research are tendon disorders and currently objective gait analysis with instrumented hoof boots. He graduated from TiHo Hannover where he prepared his Dr. med. vet. thesis at the Instutite for Pathology and undertook a residency in large animal surgery at the clinic for horses. He remained in Hannover as senior clinician and completed his postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation thesis). From 2016 to 2019 he worked as senior clinician and senior lecturer at the Clinic for Horses, Department of Surgery, Justus-Liebig-University Gießen, Germany. Florian Geburek is Diplomate of the ECVS and the ECVSMR and national specialist (FTA) in equine surgery and orthopaedics. Â
