The final day of BEVA Congress 2025 closes the programme with a diverse mix of clinical, practical and forward-thinking sessions, giving delegates valuable tools and ideas to take back to practice.
Hall 9 opens with a double session on subjective lameness examination, offering practical advice on compensatory gait, forelimb challenges, ridden assessments and regional pain identification. Later, urogenital surgery sessions provide updates on castration techniques, cryptorchidism, phallectomy and caesarean section approaches.
Pain management is a key theme in Hall 10, with sessions on pain scoring, managing emotional and chronic pain, and post-operative analgesia. Meanwhile, team building gets a spotlight with talks on creating cohesive veterinary teams and navigating workplace dynamics.
Hall 5Â continues the focus on clinical medicine with sessions on infectious disease, including vaccine updates, point of care testing and preparing for emerging threats. The afternoon turns to the future with talks on the microbiome, genetic testing, artificial intelligence and decision making for critically ill neonates.
Diagnostic imaging takes the lead in Hall 1, where talks explore how MRI, CT and ultrasound features influence prognosis and clinical decision making. A final session on keeping the competition horse sound emphasises multidisciplinary collaboration in managing complex cases.
Elsewhere, dentistry, endocrinology, parasite control and common surgical techniques are explored through a mix of lecture and discussion. Wetlabs and hands-on demonstrations continue throughout the day in the Demo Area, providing practical skills development to complement the academic programme.
Saturday rounds out Congress with practical, relevant and future focused content — a fitting finale to a week of exceptional learning and connection.
