With just weeks to go until BEVA Congress 2026, excitement is building for Europe's largest equine veterinary gathering - and delegates still have time to secure discounted early bird registration.
This year's Congress, led by BEVA President Imogen Burrows and Congress Chair Edd Knowles, is built around the theme ‘Doing the Right Thing’, with a programme that challenges delegates to think differently about horse welfare, clinical decision-making, workplace culture and the future of the profession.
Across three days, delegates can choose from five simultaneous streams of scientific and professional content, alongside practical skills sessions, networking opportunities and a packed social programme.

The programme also covers patient safety, behavioural medicine, injury prevention, leadership, resilience, inclusion, psychological safety, climate change, responsible medicine use, and the evolving business of equine veterinary practice.
Hands-on learning
Returning for 2026 is the popular Practical Demonstration Area alongside the Arthrex Wetlab, giving delegates the opportunity to develop and refine practical skills under the guidance of experienced clinicians including the renowned Jean-Marie Denoix, Professor of Veterinary Anatomy and Equine Locomotor System Pathology and Rehabilitation at the National Veterinary School in France.
Socials and wellbeing
The refreshed First Night Fun replaces the traditional Welcome Reception, while favourites including Happy Hour, BOVA Popworld Night and the Annual Dinner all return. Tickets for the evening events are expected to sell out quickly.
Innovation on show
More than 100 exhibitors will showcase the latest products, services and technologies designed to support equine veterinary practice. The exhibition offers delegates the opportunity to discover new innovations, meet suppliers, explore career opportunities and connect with organisations helping practices thrive.
International collaboration
BEVA is also proud to host the FEEVA General Assembly on Wednesday 9 September, bringing together representatives from equine veterinary associations across Europe.
Discussions will focus on key issues affecting the profession, including disease surveillance, ethics and welfare, veterinary medicines, assisted reproductive techniques, safe horse handling and emerging ethical challenges. The meeting provides an important platform for international collaboration and shared leadership in advancing equine health and welfare across Europe.
Added intrigue
Adding an extra layer of entertainment, this year's Congress is adopting a Cluedo-inspired theme - a fitting tribute to Birmingham, the birthplace of the famous detective board game. Delegates can expect clues, mystery and playful twists woven throughout the event, challenging them to solve more than just clinical cases as they navigate Congress.

Don’t miss early bird Congress registration
Early bird registration for BEVA Congress offers discounted rates for members, recent graduates, nurses and lower-income delegates.
Congress registration includes access to all lecture theatres and exhibition halls, full entry to the virtual Congress hub and on-demand access to Congress content for six months after the event
BEVA members receive 50% off ticket prices, plus an additional 10% discount before the early bird deadline of 12 August 2026.
Practice passes are also available until 12 August, providing practices with significant savings if they are planning to send multiple vets and vet nurses to Congress.
