BEVA Congress 2026 is officially open for bookings and with a programme built around ‘Everyday Welfare’, this year promises big conversations, bold ideas and the kind of CPD you don't get anywhere else.

This year’s theme reflects BEVA President Imogen Burrows’ passion for the decisions, interactions and habits that shape equine and human welfare every single day. Congress, she says, is the perfect melting pot of voices, specialists, practitioners, nurses, students and international delegates, all sharing experiences and ideas.

Congress Chair Edd Knowles agrees, highlighting that BEVA’s programme has “something for everyone”, from cutting‑edge research to practical takeaways that support everyday practice.

What’s new and not to miss

Congress opens strongly with a dedicated donkey session, something Imogen is particularly excited about, helping clinicians feel more confident with species‑specific care.

Edd highlights the expanded News Hour, now including qualitative and social science insights for the first time. Later on Thursday, he’s looking forward to the laminitis stream, bringing together leading international research with practical farriery and box‑rest advice.

Both chairs are also eagerly anticipating the return of the Moral Maze, a session designed to spark respectful debate and fresh thinking - a Congress favourite that often fuels the best “bar‑chat” conversations.

Saturday features two clinical behaviour sessions, an area both believe will transform welfare in everyday practice. Add to that the new wellbeing workshops and a full Friday nursing stream, and 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most diverse programmes yet.

Why attend

With FEEVA’s General Assembly onsite and a strong international speaker lineup, delegates from across the world can expect a warm welcome. Imogen emphasises that BEVA’s global network is thriving and so “you absolutely won’t be the only one from your region.”

Secure your place

From fresh research to practical skills and inspiring debate, BEVA Congress 2026 is ready to bring the profession together.

Bookings are now open - we can’t wait to see you in Birmingham!
