Rebekah Sullivan

Rebekah Sullivan BVSc MSc CertAVP(EM) PgCert VPS  

Rebekah qualified as a vet in 2005 and spent seven years working in mixed practice in the UK and New Zealand, with stints as a volunteer vet for working equid charities overseas. Rebekah spent 13 years at The Donkey Sanctuary, where she worked as a clinical vet, with involvement in teaching, research, developing welfare assessment tools, managing the medicine and laboratory caseload, and latterly as a veterinary advisor to the International Programs and Partnerships team. She holds a Cert AVP (EM) and an MSc in One Health and has written for journals and presented at conferences on both donkey medicine and One Health topics. Rebekah joined SPANA as the Head of Animal Health and Welfare in January 2025.
