Ian Gajczak Â
Â
Ian has been shoeing horses for over 22 years now and runs a small professional multi discipline business in southeast Scotland. He lives at home with his wife Hannah and his two children.Â
Â
During his time as a farrier, Ian has had the opportunity to compete, and both attend and present clinics along with judging in several events both nationally and internationally. It is at these events Ian has been able to gather snippets of information and skill sets from a vast array of fellow colleagues, which has put him where he is today.Â
Â
Ian has a high-end reputation for his everyday work and was always in high demand. Ian deals with most breed types and disciplines. His main involvement is the multi discipline athlete event horse but also takes a lot of referrals involving the older or ageing horses which need a sympathetic approach to trimming or shoeing.Â
Â
Unfortunately, over the last 3 years Ian has had to take a step back from active shoeing due to two failed spinal surgeries and is currently awaiting a third. With Ian’s passion and commitment to the industry, he is not letting his current situation of not being able to physically shoe horses stop him doing what he enjoys and is now busy doing lots of teaching and clinician work which is being very well received in many countries around the world. Â
Â
Ian has been a great supporter of Derek Poupard and the 3D hoof care team and been using the pads successfully ever since they were originally 3D printed. Now he takes great pride in promoting the array of 3D Hoofcare products and helping support, consult and advice where possible. Â
