Ian Beamish

Ian Beamish BVetMed CertAVP(VDI) MRCVS

Ian qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006 and moved to Newmarket, where he undertook a two-year internship at Greenwood Ellis (Newmarket Equine Hospital). On completing the internship, Ian worked in New Zealand before joining Baker McVeigh in South Africa. After two years in South Africa, Ian returned to the UK with his wife Laura, spending a year driving their Land Rover home. Ian worked in Chantilly before returning to Newmarket and then moved to Baker McVeigh in Lambourn in 2016. Orthopaedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation of the equine athlete are his areas of interest. As a member of BEVA Council Ian has a keen interest in moving the profession forwards as it evolves at a faster rate than ever.
