Alastair Foote

Alastair Foote MA VetMB PhD FRCPath MRCVS 


Alastair qualified from Cambridge in 2000 and worked in mixed small/equine practice prior to returning to Cambridge to undertake a PhD in neuropathology and subsequently a wider residency training in veterinary pathology. During the residency, he gained additional experience at APHA and the former Animal Health Trust, Newmarket. 

Since 2008, Alastair has worked as an equine diagnostic pathologist at Rossdales, obtaining his fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2009 and RCVS Recognised Specialist status in 2015, and managing the laboratory team since 2012.   

Alastair's interests are in all aspects of equine diagnostic clinical pathology and anatomic pathology, and he maintains a range of research interests and collaborations.
