About Tom
Tom Stout is professor of equine reproduction at Utrecht University and an honorary professor at the University of Pretoria. He performed his PhD at the Equine Fertility Unit in Newmarket, supervised by Professor Twink Allen.
The five-vet reproduction section at Utrecht addresses all aspects of horse reproduction. His research concentrates on refining assisted reproductive techniques and investigating causes of early pregnancy loss. He is deputy editor of the Equine Veterinary Journal, chair of the International Equine Reproduction Trust, and a board member for the International Symposium on Stallion Reproduction and the HBLB’s Veterinary Advisory Committee.
